Campbell River has a thriving and growing mountain biking community, with trails that cater to experienced riders seeking a thrill or beginners looking for fun, winding trails through stunning forests. River City Cycle Club is a local organization that puts hours into maintaining our trails and creating new ones.

When visiting Campbell River, whether you’re looking to rent a bike, get tips for for the best trails to visit, or just need to tune up your bike, our three bike shops are ready to help you.

Mountain Biking Shops on Dogwood Street
Pedal Your World has been providing Campbell River locals with expert bike service for almost 50 years. They have bikes and accessories for sale, including used inventory, rentals, and plenty of tips to share at their storefront on Dogwood Street.
Bike Chameleon, also on Dogwood Street, is particularly known for its excellent bike mechanic services, but also has plenty of bikes, accessories, and fun apparel in their retail section.
Both Bike Chameleon and Pedal Your World are located nearby Beaver Lodge Forest Lands. Bike access to this network of trails is via the ERT, Trask Road, or from Dogwood Street near Hilchey Road. Pedal Your World, Bike Chameleon, and Beaver Lodge Forest Lands are close to the Willow Point neighbourhood to the south of Campbell River.
Willow Point Destinations
While not mountain biking specific, Revive Gear is a great place to find gently used outdoor gear. A favourite spot in Willow Point to grab an impeccable deli sandwich and a cookie (or three) before hitting the trails is Daves’ Bakery. There are also several other popular eateries like Jin’s Kitchen and Miki’s Sushi.
Willow Point also provides access to the Wood’s Creek mountain biking trails on the south side of the Jubilee Parkway.
After your ride, head down to the waterfront for its beautiful views over of the Discovery Passage and dine at one of Central Campbell River’s restaurants.

Swicked Cycles and the Best Trails Near Campbellton
Swicked Cycles on Spruce Street offers mountain bike (and e-bike) rentals, accessories for sale, and repairs, along with mountain biking clinics. Their group rides on Tuesday and Thursday are a great option to start exploring Campbell River’s biking trails with a guide.
The shop is in Campbell River’s Campbellton neighbourhood. Grab a bubble tea and deluxe bagel at Kung Fu Cafe before you ride. You can also fuel up at More Eatery–most popular for their weekend brunch options–and the retro-style Ideal Cafe with its generous breakfast plates and breakfast burritos.
Swicked Cycles is perfectly located near some of Campbell River’s most renowned and extensive mountain biking trails in Snowden Demonstration Forest. Access is by car via Gordon Road with parking at Lost Lake or Lost Frog, or better yet get onto two wheels faster by connecting to Snowden through the Pumphouse Trails (Water Town, Dean Martin, and Ridge Trail) from above the Campbell River. Parking for the Pumphouse Trails is just up the hill from the Canyon View Trail.
Swicked is also the closest bike shop for the trails at Radar Hill, best accessed by parking at McIvor Lake. This area is particularly good for those keen to downhill or freeride thanks to more technical sections and natural rock drops.
After a day on the trails, head downtown for a beer and a meal at Beach Fire Brewing or the Riptide Pub.
