Join our workshop on Saturday, May 9th to make a ceramic and raffia dish. Beginning with a custom-made ceramic base that will be supplied, the finished piece is created by building up the sides with cord and raffia. Leave with a sophisticated finished piece, new skills, and a fun time to remember.

Born in Campbell River, Gail wasn’t allowed to learn her traditional teachings. In the spring of 2016 Gail started learning traditional cedar bark weaving. Always drawn to arts and crafts, she found peace and comfort in her creations. Since learning, she has mastered cedar baskets, cedar roses and cedar hats. She finds great pleasure in passing on the teachings she has received and showing others the beauty in creating from true traditional ways. Join the Campbell River Hospice Society for our Walk to Remember on Saturday, June 6th, from 9:00–12:00 PM in the Serenity Garden (440 Evergreen Road)
A Walk to Remember is a meaningful community event to honour loved ones while supporting compassionate end-of-life and grief programs for children, youth, and adults in our community.
