What is Operation Pegasus?

The Operation Pegasus Foundation was created by veterans in response to operational stresses—a call to create mental, emotional, and physical relief and resiliency through unique and fun recreational challenges. Through these recreational events, opportunities also arise to build relationships and a stronger connection between veterans in local communities.

Operation Pegasus Jump in Campbell River

Operation Pegasus Jump is a partnership between the Operation Pegasus Foundation and the Campbell River Skydive Centre at the Campbell River Airport. In two separate events called “rotos” on July 14-17 and July 17-20, veterans, first responders, and serving military are invited to skydive together. For those who have never skydived before, there is the provision of a First Jump Course, which is open to 54 participants for each date window. A chance to go far beyond your comfort zone in a safe, supportive, and thrilling activity. There are also options for experienced jumpers and tandem skydives. A community BBQ on the first and last day of each date window provides a chance to gather and celebrate camaraderie.

Why Operation Pegasus Jump is Held in Campbell River

Beyond the incredible panoramic views of nature and the city that skydiving in Campbell River provides, Campbell River SkyDive Centre is a perfect fit to partner with Operation Pegasus on Vancouver Island as it is a veteran-owned drop zone. Additionally, many of their certified skydive coaches, instructors, and other team members are retired Search and Rescue team members or veterans; a reflection of the military and outdoor community of Campbell River and its neighbouring communities. No matter whether you’re curious about skydiving, only have one day to jump, or are an experienced jumper, Campbell River SkyDive Centre has programs to suit all levels, from Tandem Skydiving that seamlessly fits into your vacation plans to a full Learn to Skydive program and facilitating Licensed Skydivers.
