Adventure Is Calling
Mountains of Fun Close to Campbell River
Mountains close to Campbell River & Region are not just about great ski slopes in winter, they are becoming year-round attractions!
Strathcona Provincial Park is a magical place in the winter with unlimited snowshoeing and ski touring potential. The Paradise Meadows area is transformed into a maze of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails maintained by Mount Washington Alpine Resort. Snowshoeing and cross-country ski rentals and passes are available at the Raven Lodge. If you plan to venture beyond the Paradise Meadows area, be sure to bring navigational tools and have a good sense of where you are going, as all of the signage is buried by snow in the winter months. Winter operations at Mount Washington run from December to April. You can usually expect the snow to be melted in the meadows by late June.

One of the Best Ski Getaways
Perfect for Families and Friends
Mount Washington is a great choice of chalet and condo accommodations – including ski-in / ski-out lodgings – that allows groups to relax in their home-away-from-home after an active day on the slopes. Book lodgings during the summer and use this resort as an alpine base for exploratory drives in the Comox Valley and north to the Campbell River region for wildlife watching tours, kayaking, golf and fishing adventures.
West Coast Snow Sports
What To Expect Across The Seasons
Mount Washington is typically blessed with the west coast’s first snowfalls of the year, and the white stuff keeps falling in immense heaps throughout the season. The wet and windy conditions that mark storm-watching season on Vancouver Island’s west coast reliably turn to snow as these Pacific Ocean weather systems meet the colder air of the Beaufort Range. The result: World-class conditions for all levels and styles of alpine enthusiasts.
