Tending the Spark: Mindfulness and the Creative Life

May 12 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
$85

What happens when we slow down and make space for creativity? In this three-part workshop series at the Museum at Campbell River, storyteller and mindfulness educator Margo McLoughlin invites participants to explore the relationship between mindfulness and the creative process through guided practice, reflection, and conversation.

Each class in this 3-part workshop series will include opportunities for mindfulness practice as well as short exercises and discussions designed to spark creative thinking. In a goal-oriented society, we tend to overlook the beneficial and even healing aspect of the creative process itself, whether or not there is a final product. Mindfulness practice allows us to approach our creative endeavours with a sense of inquiry and appreciation, while also honouring our intuition and personal experience.

The three sessions will run from 4:30pm to 6:00pm and are scheduled for the following days:

Tuesdays, May 12, 19, and 26
4:30pm – 6:00 pm
Cost: $85 +tax
